How It All Began

I was asked to teach a class at church for 40+ kindergarten through 3rd graders, and although it involved a lot of preparation, I loved seeing the fun the children (and their parents) had. The children didn't seem to notice that my designs didn't look like those you see in a baking books, they just cared about making the best, most creative design they could on their cupcakes and cookies. 

Several Mom's suggested to me that it would be a fun idea for a Birthday party, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized hosting parties would be something that I would really enjoy and it was a job that I could schedule around my children.

This all coincided with a visit from my parents from England; and after a lot of planning and sewing (mainly by my wonderful Mom, assisted by my Dad).......

....cricut cutting, website creation, practice parties......

........and enough baking of sample cookies, cupcakes and crispy treats to feed an army.......

........not to mention photographing everything (by my fantastic husband, creative Mother in law and some very supportive friends)..........

.......The Icing Angel was ready to launch.

During the planning stage I did have moments where I thought, will I enjoy hosting parties and most importantly, will the children enjoy their parties?  Without a doubt the answer is yes. How can you not have fun creating yummy designs with cookies, cupcakes, crispy treats, candy and icing; and experiencing fun and creativity in buckefulls from lots of happy, sugar filled children?
